Transportation Resources
Getting Here Matters!
When you’re focused on building your future here at HDMC, reliable transportation shouldn’t be an obstacle. Yet for many students, getting to class, or externship can be a daily challenge. The good news? There are transportation resources available to support students like you to help you stay on track, on time, and on the move toward your career goals.
If you need extra guidance or personalized support, our Student Services team is here to help.
For any additional questions, reach out to Jasmine Dickenson at jdickenson@hdmc.edu or stop by the Student Services office.

Kern Transit
Our Free Rides for Students program has resumed and will continue through June 30, 2026.
Students in elementary school, middle school, high school, college, vocational schools, and any other higher education classes ride FREE on any Kern Transit bus to any Kern Transit stop! This includes Dial-A-Ride services as well. Simply show your valid Student ID to the driver at each boarding.
This is made possible by a grant called the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) provided by the California’s Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in an effort to reduce congestion, carbon emissions of single occupancy vehicles, encourage ridership, and support those seeking education.
