Community Impact

At High Desert Medical College, giving back is at the heart of who we are. No matter the campus, HDMC is united in strengthening the communities we call home. By combining healthcare training with real-world service opportunities, our students not only gain valuable experience but also learn the importance of compassion, leadership, and community connection.

From blood drives and health screenings to food pantries, fundraisers, and partnerships with local nonprofits, HDMC is proud to support our neighbors in meaningful ways beyond the classroom.

Community Programs & Partners

Supporting Bakersfield Beyond the Classroom

High Desert Medical College is proud to support the Bakersfield community in many ways beyond the classroom. From community events and local fundraisers to partnering with various organizations to serve those in need, including homeless shelters, blood banks, the national donor registry, and expecting families.

Our Ultrasound program also provides free sonograms to expecting parents, and our Clinical Medical Assisting class offers free blood pressure checks throughout the year.

Our Bakersfield Partners

Supporting Temecula Beyond the Classroom

In Temecula, High Desert Medical College continues to build lasting partnerships that support families and transform lives. From hosting blood drives and supporting local nonprofits to raising funds and donating essential goods, our students, faculty, and staff are committed to making a lasting impact.

On campus, our student food pantry ensures classmates and their families always have access to the essentials, from diapers to fresh groceries. Our Ancora High School Program also removes barriers to education by sponsoring free high school diplomas for individuals without one.

Our Temecula Partners

Supporting Lancaster Beyond the Classroom

In Lancaster, HDMC students and faculty collaborate with community partners to uplift and empower neighbors across the Antelope Valley region. From food and clothing drives to blood donations and disaster relief, the campus is dedicated to providing meaningful support where it’s needed most.

Programs supply essentials such as food, clothing, diapers, and toiletries to local families, while also offering assistance to those impacted by the Los Angeles Eaton fires. Students gain valuable experience through partnerships that deliver free dental and vision care, and Veterinary Assistant students extend their skills by caring for rescue animals at local ranches and farms.

Our Ancora High School Program further strengthens the community by removing barriers to education, sponsoring free high school diplomas for individuals seeking new opportunities.
