Federal & State Aid Programs
Find the funding that fits your path
HDMC is designated as an eligible institution by the U.S. Department of Education for the federal programs below.
Grant – No Repayment
The Pell Grant is the foundation of federal student aid. It’s money you don’t have to repay, awarded based on financial need.
Grant – No Repayment
Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants provide extra aid to students with exceptional financial need.
Grant – No Repayment
California’s need-based grant helps students from low-income families cover living expenses and education costs.
State Grant – No Repayment
Designed specifically for students in occupational or vocational programs, Cal Grant C helps with tuition and training costs
Loan – Must Repay
The government pays the interest while you’re in school. This is the most favorable federal loan option for students who demonstrate financial need
Loan – Must Repay
Available to all eligible students regardless of income. Interest accrues during all periods, but repayment typically doesn’t begin until after graduation.
Loan – Must Repay
Parents of dependent students can borrow up to the full cost of attendance, minus other aid received—credit-based approval required.

Earn money while gaining real-world experience. Work-Study provides part-time employment for students with financial need.
Military Benefit
HDMC proudly accepts GI Bill® benefits to advance the education and skills of Veterans, Service members, and their families.

Additional funding opportunities
