What to Expect at HDMC

HDMC is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) and licensed by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Specific programs also hold approvals from organizations including the BVNPT and ARRT.

Getting started is simple, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Step 1: Complete the Admissions Interest Form and tell us about your career goals.

Step 2: Connect with an Admissions Representative to discuss programs, schedules, tuition, and answer your questions. You can also stop by campus anytime for a tour.

Step 3: Meet with Financial Aid to explore grants, loans, scholarships, and payment options (for those who qualify).

Step 4: Complete your enrollment paperwork, attend orientation, and get ready for your first day of class.

High Desert Medical College has three campuses throughout Southern California located in Lancaster, Bakersfield, and Temecula.

Each campus features classrooms, labs, and hands-on training environments. Stop by campus anytime or schedule a tour to meet our team, explore the facilities, and see where you’ll be learning.

Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

Our Financial Aid Office will help you understand your options, complete the FAFSA, and determine which grants, loans, scholarships, or payment plans may be available to you. We’ll walk you through the process, so you know exactly what to expect before you enroll.

Many HDMC programs include an externship, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills in a real healthcare setting before graduation.

In addition, our Career Services team provides resume assistance, interview preparation, job search support, and connections with local employers to help you transition from student to healthcare professional.

High Desert Medical College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), a nationally recognized accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. HDMC is also licensed by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), and several programs have additional approvals based on their field of study. Accreditation and approvals may vary by program.

Most HDMC programs offer year-round enrollment, allowing you to start throughout the year instead of waiting for a traditional fall or spring semester. Our Admissions team can help you find the next available start date for the program and campus you’re interested in.

Many students balance work, family, and school while attending HDMC. Most programs are offered in a hybrid format, combining online coursework with scheduled in-person labs, and several programs also offer evening options. Your Admissions Representative can help you choose a schedule that works best for your lifestyle.

HDMC’s Career Services team provides ongoing support to help students prepare for employment. Depending on your program, this may include externship placement, resume and cover letter assistance, interview preparation, job search guidance, and connections with local employers. While employment cannot be guaranteed, we’re committed to helping you prepare for your next career opportunity.
